CeraVe Moisturizer Review

By Amy Morrison
I was provided product to conduct my review but I was not compensated. All the opinions are my own.

The folks at are really excited about their new AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30 and PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion so they asked me to try it out along with their Moisturizing Cream.

I’ve always had a bit of a love hate with moisturizers. I’m a redhead with sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts and, as an extra treat, my skin is getting drier as I get older.

I know I should wear sunscreen every day (even during crappy winters) but I hate how sunscreen feels on my face – it always feels kind of thick and makes me feel grubby. I’ve never used night cream for the same reason – it’s usually heavy and just makes me break out. I do use hand cream though. Ever since I had my kids, my hands are dry from perpetually washing off their snot, poop and adorable outbreak monkey germs.

The AM Facial Moisturizer was nice and light and absorbed into my skin well, plus, it has that added bonus of an SPF of 30. It works well under makeup, with topical acne treatments and didn’t look remotely greasy.

The PM Facial Moisturizer was just as light, plus, it can be used on its own or with topical acne, rosacea or eczema treatments.

The Moisturizing Cream was rich and creamy without being too greasy. I used it mainly on my hands, but it would make a nice body cream too – especially if you have dry skin.

All three contain essential ceramides, cholesterol and fatty esters that are released through a patented controlled system, which is just a fancy way of saying it works all day rather than just absorbing into your skin and calling it quits.

They are all fragrance-free, non-irritating, won’t clog pores and can be found at most grocery or drug stores.

So if you’re on the hunt for a good moisturizer, no matter what your skin type is, I give it a fully moisturized two thumbs up.
