I found shopping for crib stuff tricky. I would see a sheet or blanket I loved but then couldn’t find anything to match it. Even worse, I would think I found something perfect only to realize the greens didn’t match when I got it home.
Carousel Designs takes all the guesswork out of creating your own custom designed crib without even having to leave the house.
With the Carousel Designs Nursery Designer, customers can mix and match from more than 400 in-stock fabrics (they even have my all time favourite minky), select crib skirt/bumper styles, change the color of the nursery walls, choose a crib finish and pick flooring to design your perfect nursery.
They are a family run company that’s been in business for over 26 years and all of their products are made in their Douglasville, Georgia production facility in the good ole U.S.A.
Needless to say I went down a bit of a rabbit hole when I started tinkering with this. I thought, “I’ll design a couple of cribs so I can show how easy it is.” Fast forward an hour and 17 nursery designs later, I can confirm that their virtual designer is fun, easy and damn addictive.
You start with a blank room and just start clicking away. Not very creative? No problem. Just start with a fabric you like then add it to a section then click “coordinates” and it shows you all the fabrics that match. Even if you do decide to go rogue it will give you a warning when something doesn’t match.
Here are just a few of my designs:
(I learned that love green and the paint color “Timber Wolf” from Benjamin Moore.)
You can also download the free Carousel Designs Nursery Designer® mobile app from the iTunes store so you can design nurseries while waiting for your glucose test results or sitting in a boring meeting.

I apologize in advance for the nursery design addiction I’m introducing you to.
We can start a support group. “Hi, my name is Amy and I’m addicted to the Nursery designer tool.” I can’t imagine I’ll stay on the wagon long.
Even though I was compensated for my time on this post, I don’t review stuff I don’t like. Ain’t nobody got time for that shit.
